A natural born leader with more than 20 years strong experience in aviation industry and major know-how in setting up companies in Asia Pacific, Philippe’s progressive career at Eurocopter developed a cutting edge of International and multi-cultural management skills that stand behind Helipartner today.
Philippe was a founder and a successful CEO of Eurocopter Malaysia for 6 years from where he was later promoted to regional Eurocopter VP position for South East Asia. He used his experience and knowledge to team up with a group of senior engineers, pilots and managers, to form Helipartner, the company he is leading today.
Peter has 30 years of extensive engineering and managerial experience in the aviation industry. His early career began with working as a licensed engineer with various Scandinavian operators, such as Greenland Air, Lufttransport, and Braathens Helikopter.
Peter has since served as the Maintenance and HUMS Manager for Norsk Helikopter, and also was a technical quality advisor from 1994 until 1998. He later took on positions as Technical Manager and Quality Manager and worked as a consultant for various helicopter operators. In the years 2002 – 2006, Peter was deeply involved in setting up the first privately owned Thai offshore helicopter operation and later became Si-Chang Flying’s first Technical Director. Prior to starting up with Helipartner, he was a COO at Vectra Aviation Pvt Ltd in India. Peter has also carried out numerous projects for Eurocopter France. Today, Peter is holding a post of COO at Weststar Offshore Services in Malaysia.
Peter has extensive experience and remains licensed on the Sikorsky S 76C+, Sikorsky S 61N, Eurocopter AS 332 L/L1 and the Bell 205.
With over 33 years of flying experience, Andrew began flying helicopters while serving in the Royal Navy. He trained on the Gazelle and then flew the twin engine Wessex 5 in the Commando role. He later spent twenty years with Bristow Helicopters, mainly in Asia as an IFR, twin engine rated helicopter captain. He specialised in training local pilots to operate to the high standards which are required by oil companies both on and offshore. During this time he carried out several international helicopter ferry flights between South East Asia and the UK, Cambodia and Australia.
Before starting up with Helipartner, Andrew worked for Eurocopter Malaysia as a pilot and a Sales Manager for the Oil & Gas industry.
He carried out four delivery flights of AS332L2 helicopters from France to Malaysia and flew the SA330J on Tsunami relief operations in Indonesia.
Andrew has operated the Westland Gazelle and Wessex V; Eurocopter EC 120, SA330J Puma, AS332 L and L2 Super Puma; Bell 205, 206, 212 and 412, and the Sikorsky S61N. He has a total of more than 9,000 hours.
He has operated in the UK (North Sea), Malaysia, Indonesia, Falkland Islands, Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Iraq, and Qatar. At this time Andrew is managing air operations for Weststar Offshore Services.
A 40-year veteran in aviation, Syed Abdul Rahman Alhadad was trained as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer from 1970 and worked with Malaysia Airlines for 21 years in various capacities in Maintenance, Fleet Acquisition, Projects, Materials Management and Training as well as a 2-year stint as a Technical Representative in Europe based in Airbus and Fokker in the early eighties. He moved to head the Engineering and Maintenance Department in MHS Aviation from 1991 to 2004 before joining Eurocopter Malaysia; initially as the Director of Operations and later as Senior Director of Quality, Flight Operations and Training. He played a key role in the internal quality improvement programs within EC Malaysia before taking a new appointment from 1 October 2009 as Senior Director of External Industrial Development to lead and coordinate all Eurocopter offset and TOT programs associated with major Government acquisitions with Malaysian and JV entities as beneficiaries. Besides involvements in publishing and aviation insurance, he established Rayda Aviation to provide consultancy services to the aviation industry.
He holds a Malaysian Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License, a Diploma in Marketing and Masters of Business Administration (Ohio). He is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and Secretary of the Light Aero Sports Club.
Syed is multi-lingual and has significant international business and operational experience. He is a Recreational Pilot, does part-time lecturing in local universities and is active in social activities.
